Mebyon Kernow would like to wish one and all a Happy St Piran’s Day!
We sincerely hope that everyone will find the time to do something to celebrate Cornwall’s national identity.
Our national saint’s day is going from strength to strength, with events taking place over multiple days, and it is good to see that communities, the length and breadth of Cornwall, will be holding celebrations featuring the Cornish language, music and dance, and so much more.
Cornwall has such a powerful national identity, which is vitally important to our sense of place and the very well-being of our communities, and it is fantastic that the 5th March is now such an important date in our calendar, when people come together in a positive and inclusive manner to mark our Cornishness.
And as we say, each and every year, the promotion of Cornish distinctiveness is not something that should be restricted to once a year in March. We should be doing all in our power, each and every day, to promote and enhance our identity and heritage.

De plannen van de Vlaamse overheid om aankopen van stookolie en propaan systematisch te registreren, met het oog op toekomstige heffingen, stuiten op fel verzet bij het Vlaams Belang. Volgens Vlaams Parlementslid Filip Brusselmans dreigt de maatregel opnieuw vooral gezinnen te treffen die afhankelijk zijn van fossiele verwarming.“Wij zijn fel gekant tegen deze plannen. De overheid creëert eerst een register van alle stookolie- en propaantanks om vervolgens precies die gezinnen te viseren met extra belastingen”, waarschuwt Brusselmans.

read more..Vlaams Parlementslid Stefaan Sintobin was vandaag te gast in De Zevende Dag, met minister van Landbouw en Omgeving Jo Brouns als hoofdgast. Sintobin, sinds 2004 lid van de commissie landbouw, is met Brouns aan zijn zesde cd&v-minister toe. Zowel Brouns als zijn partij kregen de wind van voren van Sintobin.“Het is bijna examenperiode, maar minister Brouns is nu al gebuisd,” stelde Sintobin expliciet.

„Der Verkehrsminister hat heute sehr offen über die zahlreichen Probleme rund um die Missunde III gesprochen. Er sprach von einem Vertrauensverlust in der Region, von einem Haufen Planungsfehlern und sogar von einer Katastrophe für die Menschen vor Ort. In der Analyse liegt er damit nicht einmal falsch.
Das Problem ist nur: Wer all diese Fehler benennt, muss irgendwann auch erklären, welche Konsequenzen daraus folgen.
