Mebyon Kernow would like to wish one and all a Happy St Piran’s Day!
We sincerely hope that everyone will find the time to do something to celebrate Cornwall’s national identity.
Our national saint’s day is going from strength to strength, with events taking place over multiple days, and it is good to see that communities, the length and breadth of Cornwall, will be holding celebrations featuring the Cornish language, music and dance, and so much more.
Cornwall has such a powerful national identity, which is vitally important to our sense of place and the very well-being of our communities, and it is fantastic that the 5th March is now such an important date in our calendar, when people come together in a positive and inclusive manner to mark our Cornishness.
And as we say, each and every year, the promotion of Cornish distinctiveness is not something that should be restricted to once a year in March. We should be doing all in our power, each and every day, to promote and enhance our identity and heritage.

Zur Verabschiedung des sogenannten Bau-Turbos im Bauausschuss erklärt der Vorsitzende der SSW-Ratsfraktion Kiel, Ratsherr Marcel Schmidt:
„Der Wohnraummangel ist eines der drängendsten Probleme in Kiel. Zu wenig Wohnungen, lange Planungsverfahren und hohe Baukosten sorgen dafür, dass dringend benötigter Wohnraum nicht schnell genug entsteht. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es richtig und notwendig, neue Instrumente zu nutzen, um Verfahren zu beschleunigen und den Wohnungsbau voranzubringen. Genau hier setzt der sogenannte Bau-Turbo an, der nun im Bauausschuss beschlossen wurde – ein wichtiger Schritt, um Bewegung in festgefahrene Prozesse zu bringen
Vlaams Parlementslid Stefaan Sintobin was vandaag te gast in De Zevende Dag, met minister van Landbouw en Omgeving Jo Brouns als hoofdgast. Sintobin, sinds 2004 lid van de commissie landbouw, is met Brouns aan zijn zesde cd&v-minister toe. Zowel Brouns als zijn partij kregen de wind van voren van Sintobin.“Het is bijna examenperiode, maar minister Brouns is nu al gebuisd,” stelde Sintobin expliciet.

Dezember 2025 wurde – genau 96 Jahre nach dem Tod Josef Noldins – die Noldinfeier in Salurn abgehalten, die die Schützenkompanie Salurn jährlich ausrichtet, um den wesentlichen Kopf der Katakombenschule in Südtirol zu ehren. Dr. Josef Noldin setzte sich als Rechtsanwalt und Organisator maßgeblich dafür ein, dass ein deutscher Notunterricht im Südtiroler Unterland abgehalten werden konnte. Dafür büßte er mit der Verbannung nach Lipari und mit dem Tod.

La prima domanda che ci poniamo è: quali indicazioni sono state date ad Ausir da parte del Comune di Trieste per l’avvio della gara? Verso quale modello di gestione vuole andare il Comune, evidentemente d’accordo con Ausir e la Regione? In quali sedi si è svolto il dibattito sul futuro dell’acqua della città di Trieste e sui soggetti che saranno chiamati a gestirla?»
