about

Republics.Blog is an independent information and research platform dedicated to tracking the political life of Europe’s sovereignty-oriented parties, movements and intellectual networks.

Sovereignty is a central question of the 21st century. For some, it means democratic self-government. For others, national independence, cultural continuity, border control, strategic autonomy or resistance to technocratic governance. Across Europe, debates about national sovereignty, democratic accountability, migration, security, industrial policy, cultural identity and the future of the European Union are becoming increasingly important. Yet much of this political landscape remains fragmented, scattered across national languages, party websites, local media, conferences, parliamentary speeches, campaign events and policy documents.

Our aim is to bring this material together in one place.

We monitor public information from more than 60 political parties, parliamentary groups, foundations, conferences and civic initiatives across Europe. This site provides a structured chronicle of events, statements, congresses, forums, campaigns, publications and policy initiatives connected with the European sovereignty debate. We do not seek to replace original sources. We link to them, archive them, translate key information where necessary and place events in a broader European context. Our task is not to impose a single definition, but to follow how the idea is used, contested and transformed across Europe.

Republics.Blog is designed for journalists, researchers, policymakers, analysts, students and all readers who want to understand the changing structure of European politics beyond simplified labels.

Our work is based on three simple principles: Chronicle first. Interpretation second. Europe is more than Brussels.

We cover:

– party congresses, rallies, forums and public meetings;
– speeches and statements by political leaders;
– electoral campaigns and parliamentary activity;
– think-tank reports, manifestos and policy papers;
– transnational networks and alliances;
– youth movements, foundations and media platforms;
– debates on sovereignty, migration, security, identity, economy and the future of Europe.

Republics.Blog is not a party project and does not speak on behalf of any political organisation.

It is a documentation and analysis platform focused on a political current that is already reshaping Europe – and will continue to influence its future. If you have information about relevant events, initiatives, publications or debates – or if you would like to share your own analysis, commentary or field observations – we would be glad to hear from you. We welcome contributions from journalists, researchers, analysts, students, political practitioners, civil society actors and readers across Europe and beyond. If you believe that a speech, congress, local campaign, policy paper, conference or public debate deserves attention, please let us know. If you would like to publish your own perspective on the changing politics of European sovereignty, we are open to thoughtful, well-grounded submissions.

We are building Republics.Blog as a space for documentation, exchange and serious discussion – and we welcome everyone who can help make Europe’s evolving political landscape more visible and better understood.
