Mebyon Kernow

The leader of Mebyon Kernow has called for the creation of a Cornish Police Force, following the UK Government announcement that they plan to cut the number of police forces serving Cornwall, England and Wales.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is holding two consultations into the content of the 2031 census. These comprise one on topics for the next census and a second linked about ethnicity/nationality.

Both consultations close on 4th February.

Mebyon Kernow would like to thank our sister party in Wales for tabling an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons setting out congratulations on our first 75 years.

This week, Mebyon Kernow members and supporters are marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of Mebyon Kernow at the Oates Temperance Hotel in Redruth, which took place on 6th January 1951.

Everyone at Mebyon Kernow is extremely saddened that MK’s eighth leader, Loveday Carlyon, recently passed away.
